"Thistlewood restored the lighthouse lantern room floor and ceiling to the identical original appearance. Large posts and beams had to be replaced due to rot and other damage. It was an outstanding job, very professionally done, and in time. The Old Cut Lighthouse won "Canada's Most Outstanding Renovation" in the year 2000 (CHBA)."

Thistlewood provides commercial services and historical restoration work. We have completed major church restorations, a lighthouse and are presently involved in restoring the stable that Alexander Graham Bell used as a laboratory building when residing near Brantford, Ontario.

Our commercial work has included golf course clubhouses, travel centers and outdoor monuments. We pride ourselves on professional, on-time delivery of major structural components or decorative architectural elements. In our commercial work, we use the latest versions of AutoDesk's AutoCAD and Revit software for compatibility with our client's design and engineering staff.
