This home combines a timber frame structure with a thoroughly modern design. The bold colors and unusual choice of materials comes together in a unexpected harmony. Architect Dave Erickson of Erickson & Sullivan used elements that ties the home to the farming nature of its surroundings, but avoided the obvious 'barn look'; yes, the 'silo' and sihouette of the home evoke a rural image, but the interior of the home is furnished in a sleek modern style that is a pleasant surprise.
