This small, yet spacious house features a stunning timber frame that upon entering gives visitors the instant feeling of space, comfort and warmth. Many special and unique features add definitive beauty to this home.

To complement the look, Thistlewood Dealer Robert Mitchell and designer Tanya Larsen of Alpine Architectural Design combined the use of exotic woods, tile, blown glass and river rock throughout the home to give a look that is both unique and eclectic. Exotic woods including Purpleheart, Agathis, Padauk, Honduras Mahogany and more were used in cabinetry, stairs, millwork and flooring. These woods were thoughtfully placed and the overall effect creates a richness and variety rare in conventional homes.

A custom stairway leads visitors to the second level. The stairs were crafted by Robert Mitchell and were constructed using the same wood species as the timber frame. Custom railings crafted in Curly Redwood display an iridescent shimmer on the wood that is remarkably "zebra" like. Overhead, a Japanese-influenced "taiko" ('curved timber' in Japanese) beam crafted in Black Cherry adds a modern, funky look to this custom home.
